Rumanian Rhapsody No. 1, Op. 11 in A minor by Georges Enesco
Symphony No. 3 in Eb Major by Ludwig van Beethoven
Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor by Max Bruch with Young Artists Competition winner Brandon Garbot, Violin. Brandon is the youngest finalist in this year’s competition. He is a 16-year-old high school sophomore from Portland, Oregon.
The competition attracts young muscians locally and from around the world. Twelve finalists were selected for the live competition which was January. 9 at The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, co-sponsor of the event. The first place finalist receives a $2,000 cash prize, a $5,000 scholarship, and the opportunity to play with the Symphony.
