Driving Directions:
Minutes from downtown Denver, just off CO Highway 58 between I-70 and Golden. Take McIntyre exit from Hwy 58. Head north to W 44th Ave. Turn left. The Museum is located at 17155 W 44th Ave.
Explore the Museum’s 15-acre railyard, featuring dozens of narrow and standard gauge steam and diesel locomotives, passenger and freight cars, and cabooses. Enjoy rotating exhibits plus extensive indoor HO scale model railroad and outdoor Garden Railway layouts. Train Rides are available on Saturdays from mid-January through Labor Day Weekend, also in October. Expanded Train Ride operating schedule (Thursday through Sunday) mid-May through mid-August. Don’t miss Day Out With Thomas™ events the first three weekends of September, and THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride theatrical extravaganza select dates November-December. Fun for the whole family!
