What's Brewing is a monthly meeting, held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 8 - 9 am. Each month you will hear an update from City Council, Downtown Development Authority (DDA/GURA), City of Golden Police, regional representatives and the Golden Chamber, along with a Business Spotlight. What's Brewing Golden not only offers an opportunity to hear from the City and Chamber, but is a great way for our business community to connect.
May's Spotlight Speaker: Dr. Landon Pirius, President of Red Rocks Community College. Dr. Pirius joined Red Rocks Community College in March 2024 as its tenth president. A visionary and transformational higher education leader with nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Pirius joined Red Rocks from the Colorado Community College System (CCCS).
There, he served in several leadership positions—most recently the vice chancellor for academic and student affairs—and was involved in legislative efforts to improve college affordability and expand Colorado workforce development programs, including Care Forward Colorado and Career Advance Colorado.
This meeting is open to all businesses within the Golden area with a focus on small businesses within the City limits of Golden. This meeting is provided as a service by the Golden Chamber of Commerce. Chamber membership is highly encouraged but is not required to attend. Guests are welcome.
