Name: The Boys are Back in Town and The David Taylor Solo Exhibit
Date: February 3, 2020 - April 25, 2020
Event Description:
Celebrating the 15th Biennial Exhibit of quilts made by men, The Boys are Back in Town, showcases the variety, talent and passion of these dynamic quilters. Quilts range from traditional to modern style quilts, as well as engaging art quilts where their expertise in hand quilting, embroidery, applique and use of tulle shines. The quilters’ use of color and technique ranges from vibrant to subtle, denim to silk. Imagination is evident, where manhole covers, argyle, angels, and bottles of beer are explored. This is a “must-see” exhibit! David Taylor joins us in the Northeast Gallery for his second solo exhibit, which includes many quilts on loan from various owners around the country. His most popular quilts on exhibit include Maynard, Sally at the Window, and Beneath my Wing. Also on display is a collage wall quilt entitled, Rocky Mountain Scrapbook, which David created as a fundraising raffle quilt for the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum.
