The professionally-timed course will be a challenging cross-country style run at an approximate elevation of 6,340 ft (1,932.43 m) from Heritage Square running into and around the Lafarge Quarry?s Aggregates, Ready Mix, and Asphalt & Paving Plants and back. As one of only three races in the United States that takes place at a quarry site, this is a unique experience that allows participants to race or walk through an environmentally responsible, operational granite quarry site. Participants may be able to view the working quarry face, the ancient rock deposits, the mining equipment that processes it and the natural surroundings. Runners will be thrilled knowing there is interesting scenery during this race.
