Golden History Museums invites Festival-goers to step back in time during the Golden Fine Arts Festival. With a convenient location along Clear Creek and adjacent to the Festival, Clear Creek History Park is Golden's outdoor living history museum and offers the opportunity to learn how pioneer artisans practiced their crafts.
Demonstrations of lace making, leather crafting and blacksmithing will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21. Visitors are also invited to step into the 1800s log cabin to see what's cooking on the pioneer stove and learn about home life at the turn of the century. Take a peek at the heirloom gardens and check out the historic chicken breeds in the coop.
