Since the early ‘90’s the ABA sponsored the placing of American flags along Youngfield St. and along 32nd Avenue from Flag Day (June 14) through Independence Day (July 4th).
The ABA is proud to announce that its non-profit arm, the Applewood Community Foundation (ACF) is taking the lead for this cherished annual project.
We’re reaching out to ABA members and friends, local businesses and Applewood residents, seeking tax deductible sponsorships of $50.00 per flag for a basic sponsorship and $100 per flag for an Honor Flag sponsorship.
Each sponsor will be entered into a drawing to win an American Flag. Flags are not limited; you may sponsor as many as you want and you will receive one entry in the drawing for each Flag sponsored. The winning entry will be selected at the July ABA luncheon at Rolling Hills Country Club. The winner notified by phone, email or by mail.
The American Flag prize is 3’ X 5’ and comes with a pole and stand, intended as an indoor display flag.
This Flag is generously contributed by Consolidated Mutual Water Co.
Proceeds from this year's event will support the Applewood Community Foundation (ACF) and the Prospect Foundation Tribute Garden at the Applewood Golf Course. The ACF proudly supports local non-profits throughout the Applewood area, with a special focus on the Jefferson Center for Mental Health.
