Golden CDC on July 7: Guest Speakers: Lance Landry and Dan Cohen with CoorsTek
In August of 2018, CoorsTek began an effort to modernize and embrace technology across its global operations. Included in this effort was the planned transition and relocation of operations from the downtown Golden 9th Street facility.
The CoorsTek campus at 9th and Jackson Streets has been a part of the Golden community for over a century. The current CoorsTek manufacturing operations at the facility are winding down and have largely been relocated to new facilities in Golden. CoorsTek is planning on constructing a new corporate global headquarters on the property, the site of the company’s founding, as the centerpiece of a new mixed-use district. As such, CoorsTek, which is owned by the Coors Family, is studying the site, between Washington and Ford Street, south of Highway 58, for future redevelopment.
CoorsTek is coming to the Community Development Committee meeting for an informational discussion to discuss CoorsTek’s manufacturing footprint, share their intentions for the site, solicit general feedback and ideas, and discuss opportunities.

The Community Development Committee is a roundtable group comprised of City, Chamber, and businesses that provide monthly updates. This monthly meeting is intended to be a strategic meeting of the business community with a focus on local economic development. This group frequently has outside guest speakers or when circumstances allow, they take "field trips" to area businesses.
