The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is starting 2019 with exhibits celebrating collaboration! Two exhibits will be on display in the museum showcasing quilting by two or more talented artists. On display from January 21 through April 20, It Takes Two to Tango: Collaboration Quilts and All in the Family: Family and Album Quilts from the RMQM Collection will show visitors how quilting is often a community affair. It Takes Two to Tango features beautiful quilts from two-persons teams: Claudia Clark Myers and Marilyn Badger, Sue Nickels and Pat Holly, Jan Hutchinson and Gail Stepanek, as well as quilts from Christine Perrigo with Chawne Kimber, Latifah Saafir, Kathleen Probst, Karen Lee, and Stephanie Ruyle. These exquisite quilts shine with robust color combinations, exceptional quilting designs, and eye catching embellishments and appliqué. Collaboration is continued in the museum's small gallery with a selection of antique family, friendship, and album quilts from the museum's own collection. A free opening reception will be held Friday, January 25 from 6-8 pm. All are welcome to come enjoy the quilts and refreshments!
