Description
Celebrate spring’s arrival with an afternoon of beautiful music featuring Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 (aka Spring Symphony). Schumann wrote, “I would like the music to suggest the world’s turning green, perhaps with a butterfly hovering in the air.” Also on the program is Debussy’s lovely Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and Prokofiev’s delightful film music Lieutenant Kije Suite.
