About the Golden Chamber of Commerce:
The Golden Chamber of Commerce strives to enhance and promote the economic environment of the Greater Golden Area through supporting our chamber members, collaborating with businesses, city, county, state and community resources; and putting forth efforts to enhance the quality of life for the community at large. As a member-based organization, our priority is to support our member businesses and provide resources and opportunities as a part of the return on their investment with the Chamber. This role is specifically focused on that priority area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and sell new Chamber memberships to local businesses and organizations
  • Assist with onboarding and welcoming new members and outreach to members up for renewal
  • Actively reach out to delinquent members
  • Maintain a log of contacts and potential members
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for our Ambassadors Committee
  • Attend relevant Chamber functions and other functions and meetings as needed for the purpose of networking and recruiting
  • Research and understand Chamber best practices; continuously seek out new and improved approaches for enhancing the Chamber’s membership program
  • Schedule Ribbon Cuttings and be responsible for all details of these events
  • Assist in preparation of annual membership goals with Executive Director
  • Assist with planning of membership luncheons, meetings, happy hours, etc. as assigned and be in attendance at these events (occasional evenings, early mornings, and weekends)
  • Have a lead role in the creation of the annual Member Directory & Community Magazine
  • Attend and assist with Golden Chamber special events such as Golden Farmers Market, Golden Fine Arts Festival, Beer Tasting & Chili Cook Off, Olde Golden Christmas, and Taste of Golden
  • Maintain social media accounts to post up-to-date event information on the Chamber happenings
  • Write and share the weekly “Golden Highlights” newsletter for members
  • Design creative content, such as flyers, posters and other graphics, as needed for promotion of member activities
  • Be familiar with the Golden community, know where to find community referral information, and appropriately give Chamber member referrals to visitors and residents
  • Be an active member of the Chamber staff and be willing to jump in and help as needed with a positive attitude

 Association Management or Chamber of Commerce experience would be a major plus, but is not required.

Compensation, Benefits, and Job Details:
  • This position is part time, approximately 25 hours per week (up to 32 hours per week during busy event weeks).
  • This position will work in the Golden Chamber of Commerce office.
  • Compensation is dependent on experience with an expected range of $21 - $24 per hour
  • Dental and Vision benefits after 6 months of employment

  • Some evenings, early mornings and weekends as required based on events
